TROOP 158

About Our Troop
Fun Fact: Our Troop number is named after 2 Peter 1:5-8
Training Boys to become equipped young men for the past 12 years, Troop 158 was founded in September of 2011. Starting with one patrol, we slowly grew from five boys to 23. We now have three patrols that are still growing today. Every year during early August, we have an amazing week of summer camp at Camp Yawgoog! This is the place where we get merit badges, learn necessary outdoors and life skills, and have fun. We do a minimum of ten troop events a year, including hiking, camping, service projects and more! In 2015, we had our first two eagle scouts. We have more recently achieved 15 Eagle Scouts. Based mostly off of homeschooled scouts, this is a Christian Troop that trains boys to become Godly men. If you are interested in joining our troop, you can find contact information at the bottom of this page. If you would like more information on Boy Scouts, read below.
Boy Scouts of America
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness.
For more than a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
